April 1st, I'll be flying to New York from California, spending two nights there, then taking the train to Philadelphia to take advantage of a free hotel room and reuniting with some of the wife's friends. The day she flies back to California, I will rent a car in Wilmington and spend the week driving to Louisville. The one-way rental car between the two cities is about $350. It almost doubled if I picked up in Philadelphia or dropped off in Indiana, so I will have to take a bus to Bloomington from Louisville.
On the drive, I will pick up where I started on the last US 6 trip out of Philadelphia: Milford, Pennsylvania. I'll drive for several days through Scranton, the Poconos, and the Northern Tier ("Endless Mountains") of Pennsylvania, then a night or two in Cleveland, finally ending in Bryan, Ohio and heading back south to Louisville. This will constitute one of the last sections of US 6 where I have not yet driven.
